Matterport 3D Tours for Real Estate Listings in Ocala

Buyers tour homes on their phones long before they book a showing. A Matterport 3D tour lets them walk every room, flip to the dollhouse view and see how the home flows, from the couch or from across the country. I’m a REALTOR in Ocala and the SEO Director at Media Minds, and I shoot listings on my Matterport Pro2.

Why 3D tours help listings

Photos show the best angles. A 3D tour shows the whole home. Buyers can check how the kitchen connects to the living room, how big the bedrooms really feel and where the stairs land. That means the people who book a showing already like what they’ve seen, and the people who wouldn’t have liked it can move on without taking up your Saturday.

It’s a big help for out-of-town buyers. Ocala and Marion County attract buyers relocating from other states, and many want to narrow their list before they fly in. A tour lets them do that now.

What agents and sellers get

  • A full 3D tour with walk-through, dollhouse and floor plan views.
  • A shareable tour link for your listing, social posts, email and texts to buyers.
  • Still photos and a floor plan pulled from the same scan.
  • Measurements from the scan that help buyers picture furniture and plans.
  • A listing presentation edge: sellers like seeing their home marketed in 3D.

Check your MLS’s rules for virtual tour links and branding. Many MLSs have a specific field for unbranded tours, and I can provide the link in the format you need.

Selling homes in Ocala and Marion County

Ocala’s market covers a lot of ground: horse farms and acreage, golf and active-adult communities, downtown homes and new construction on the edges of town. Those properties are hard to understand from photos alone. How do the barn and the house relate? How big is that lanai, really? A walk-through tour and floor plan answer those questions in a way buyers can explore on their own time.

For sellers, a 3D tour shows that their agent is putting real effort into marketing. For agents, it’s a listing presentation tool and a way to keep serious buyers engaged between showings. And because the tour lives online, it keeps working around the clock, including for buyers in other time zones who are browsing late at night.

I’m happy to work with other agents too. If you’re listing in Ocala or nearby, tell me about the property in the form below.

Real estate tours, plus the SEO side

Most listing photographers hand you files and leave. I work in both worlds. As a REALTOR in Ocala, I know what buyers ask about. As the Ocala Florida King of SEO, I know how to build pages that get found by people searching for homes and neighborhoods. If you want a listing page or a neighborhood page to back up your tour, I can help with that too.

One important note: Google’s terms don’t allow residential homes to be published to Google Street View. Home tours live on your listing, your website and your social posts. For commercial listings like offices, retail and restaurants, see Google Street View tours and office and studio tours.

Investors and rental owners

If the property is going to be a short-term rental, the same tour can carry over into rental marketing. See Airbnb and vacation rental tours. Want to see a finished Matterport tour first? Walk through our Media Minds office.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a listing scan take?

It depends on the size and layout of the home. Larger homes with more rooms take longer. I’ll give you a time estimate with your quote.

How should sellers prepare?

Treat it like photo day: clean, declutter, open blinds, turn on lights and put away personal items. Pets and people should be out of the rooms being scanned.

Can the tour go on the MLS?

Most MLSs accept a virtual tour link, often in an unbranded format. Check your MLS’s rules and I’ll give you the right version.

Can my home be on Google Street View?

No. Google’s terms prohibit publishing residential homes to Street View. Commercial properties can be eligible.
